Winston was only shown a couple of times as a puppy as in the space of 12 months I lost both my parents, so needless to say dog shows was very low on my list of priorities. Winston (as was all of the dogs) were a star and helped me through this difficult time.
Winston has a wonderful temperament, so easy to live with, a pleasure to take for a walk. Enjoying his many walks in the forest where he made friends with dogs of all breeds, always showing the wonderful calm, friendly temperament that a labrador should have. Equally good on or off lead.
The Hearing Dogs for the Deaf had two of Winston's litter mates a dog and a bitch, these proved to be of such good character that they decided to keep the dog entire and he is now used at their stud dog and has produced many many puppies for them.
Winston has proved an excellent sire producing puppies both in black and Chocolate. I kept a very nice bitch (Carriegame Precious Jewel)from his first litter born in the Covid lockdown, she has done very well in the show ring in the Junior Classes (she missed the puppy classes due to lock down).She has now also been hip and elbow scores both with good results.
